There weren’t a lot of upsets in Week 9, meaning the USA Today Coaches Poll didn’t see a lot of movement this week. In fact, the top six teams remain the same as last week, and only two teams fell out of the poll following a loss.
However, no team fell further within the rankings than LSU. The Tigers dropped from No. 7 to No. 16 following their loss to Texas A&M. Unfortunately for the Aggies, while their victory was enough to knock the Tigers out of the top 10, it wasn’t enough to get them in; they climb three spots to No. 11.
The new top-10 team? It’s Notre Dame following a shellacking of Navy on Saturday. Here’s how the poll looks in its entirety. First-place votes in parenthesis.
