Fantasy football rankings, 2024 AFC, NFC Championship picks: Model says start Isiah Pacheco, sit Jared Goff

The 2024 NFL playoffs are down to the final four, which means there’s a small pool of players for your Conference Championship Fantasy football picks. However, one position that is loaded with elite options is tight end, with the likes of Travis Kelce, George Kittle and Sam LaPorta. Then there’s the potential return of three-time Pro Bowler Mark Andrews, which could affect Isaiah Likely’s role. Where do all of these players fall in the Championship Round Fantasy football TE rankings?

Likely has six touchdowns over his last six games, but only six teams allowed fewer touchdowns to tight ends during the regular season than Kansas City. Meanwhile, only two teams allowed fewer scores to the position than Baltimore, so Kelce may not be a lock for Championship Round Fantasy football lineups. Before you lock in your postseason Fantasy football picks, be sure to check out the Fantasy football rankings for NFL Conference Championship Weekend from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

When it comes to ranking players, SportsLine’s model beat human experts in Fantasy football for the past several seasons especially when there were big differences in ranking. Over the course of a season, that could literally be the difference between winning your league or going home empty-handed.

Top NFL Conference Championship Fantasy football picks

One player the model is high on this week: Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco. While Baltimore’s defense is elite, the area it is most vulnerable is against the run. Opponents averaged 4.5 yards per carry in the regular season versus the Ravens, which was the seventh-highest in the NFL. By comparison, the Ravens allowed the fewest yards per pass attempt, so the ground game is definitely where one can exploit Baltimore.

Additionally, Baltimore has allowed four 100-yard rushers over its last six games, compared to just two 100-yard rushers over its first 12 games. Pacheco has scored in each of his last six games, and he’s averaged 99 scrimmage yards over his last seven contests. Pacheco is a top-two RB in this week’s Fantasy football rankings and is slotted ahead of Jahmyr Gibbs, who had 114 yards and a score last week.

And a massive shocker: Lions quarterback Jared Goff, who threw for 287 yards and two touchdowns in last week’s win over the Buccaneers, stumbles big-time and is ranked last among the four remaining starting QBs. The overall numbers were solid but Goff only averaged 6.7 yards per pass attempt against a Bucs defense that ranked 29th in the NFL against the pass this season.

Now the Lions will have a much tougher matchup against a 49ers defense that ranked fifth in the NFL in yards allowed per pass attempt (5.9). San Francisco held Jordan Love to just 194 yards on 34 pass attempts last week and intercepted the Green Bay quarterback twice after he had only thrown one pick in his previous nine games. For more start/sit Fantasy football advice, be sure to check out the rest of the NFL Divisional Round Fantasy football rankings.
