If you’ve been waiting to decide what to do based on weather, especially if you want to be outside, this story is for you. Actually, based on what Florida weather has been like lately, that really isn’t a bad idea, or at least make inside contingency plans.

➤ Let’s make sure: Are fireworks legal in Florida?

Several cold fronts are on their way, and while the one coming this week will send temperatures down a bit, it’s the one expected around Jan. 11-12 that will send residents indoors. An Arctic blast could send temps to freezing even in South Florida.

There could even be snow in some locations, if all the right environmental conditions are in place.

But first, here’s what to expect on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
