How to Contact Air France Customer Service

From flight cancellations and compensation requests to online booking errors and passenger name changes, you may need to contact an airline for many reasons.

If you’re flying or looking to fly with Air France soon, here’s how to contact Air France customer service and get the answers you need.

How do I reach Air France customer service?

If you need help with an Air France reservation, keep in mind that the carrier no longer offers customer support through X, formerly known as Twitter. However, you can still contact Air France customer service in the following ways.

Call the Air France customer service number

To speak with Air France on the phone, call the Air France U.S. customer service number at 1-800-237-2747 (toll-free).

Air France customer service hours are 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern Standard Time from Monday to Sunday. The customer service number for Air France is available in English, French and Spanish.

It’s worth noting that Air France charges a $25 booking fee for new reservations made over the phone.

Chat on messaging apps

Another way to contact Air France customer service is by using a couple of popular messaging apps. For example, you can reach Air France by WhatsApp at +33 6 99 38 57 20. You can also initiate a chat by going to the social media page and clicking the green WhatsApp icon.

You can use WhatsApp on a phone, a tablet or a computer. You’ll need a data or Wi-Fi connection in order to chat with the agents.

Facebook Messenger is another social media app you can use to chat with an Air France agent. We recommend going through the Need Help? page directly. Both apps offer 24/7 service.

How do I reach Flying Blue customer service?

The customer service phone number and social media apps are helpful if you’re trying to reach Air France for a revenue booking, meaning you paid for your reservation with a credit or debit card.

If you want to book, change or cancel an Air France ticket booked with miles through the Flying Blue loyalty program, dial 1-800-375-8723.

What can Air France customer service help me with?

Air France customer service agents can help you with many questions, including:

  • Booking, changing and canceling a flight.

  • Checking in for a flight.

  • Refunds, complaints and suggestions.

  • Delayed or canceled flights.

Air France online help

Let’s face it. These days, customer service phone lines are often jammed for hours, especially if a large-scale issue affects many passengers. To skip the hold music, you can find answers to many questions online.

For example, if your flight has been canceled, click on “Delayed or canceled flight,” and you’ll find more information on the topic, such as:

  • My flight is canceled. What are my options?

  • I need help with rebooking my flight online.

  • I want to check the status of a flight.

  • I would like to request compensation due to a delayed or canceled flight.

  • I want to request written proof of a delayed or canceled flight.

If you need help with something less urgent, we recommend looking for an answer on the website first.

Does Air France offer refunds for canceled flights?

Air France allows refunds on Flex fare types, but nonrefundable tickets, such as those booked into Light and Standard fare classes, aren’t eligible for refunds when you cancel. Additionally, you’ll have to pay a fee to change a Light fare, whereas Standard and Flex fares allow for free changes.

If you purchased your airfare directly through Air France, log in to your Flying Blue account and go to “My Bookings.” Pick the flight you want to cancel or change and follow the instructions. If you’re not sure which fare type you purchased or whether your ticket can be canceled or changed, click on “View ticket conditions” for more information.

If you wish to cancel an award ticket booked with Flying Blue miles, a fee of $53 (50 euros) will be applied. As a reminder, you’ll have to call the Flying Blue line and not the Air France customer service phone number for questions regarding tickets booked with miles.

How to contact Air France customer service recapped

Although Air France no longer offers passengers help through direct messages on X, formerly known as Twitter, you can still contact Air France customer service by phone or through a different social media messaging app, such as WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.

If you don’t require urgent assistance, you might be successful in finding the answer you’re looking for on the airline’s website.
